Keep an extra transponder in a secure location, away from your vehicle. It is useful if your car keys need to be replaced, or when one gets lost. This information will be required to program a replacement key, should it be required.

Key Fobs

Once you have the necessary items, you'll have to unplug the battery from the vehicle prior beginning. Then, you can remove the cover under the steering wheel in order to gain access to the required wires. Label the wires you wish to connect. Only connect the wires that are specified in the instructions. Then, you will need to wrap the wires with black electrical tape.

Ignition Cylinder

Once you have all the necessary tools and equipment, the removal procedure should be quite simple. After you have removed the cylinder, you'll need it to be reinstalled following the same process in reverse. Install it properly so that the tab and retaining slot are aligned. Also, ensure that all the tumblers are installed in the correct order.
