1. Engine Speed Sensor

The sensor is used to correlate with the G40 Camshaft position Sensor. The ecu has to know when the crankshaft has reached TDC, and where the camshaft lies so that it can activate the spark and injectors.
If this sensor fails when it fails, the ECU will display an error code P00160. This indicates that the Crank Shaft is out of line with the Intake Camshaft. It could also be a sign of a chain stretch or a jumpy chain link in the upper chain of timing. The code won't show without the additional information provided by other sensors (G4 or G40).
It is a little tricky to test because there are several pins on the connector and they all have different functions. The most effective method to test it is to measure the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. It should read approximately 1000 ohms if the sensor is in full operation. 2. Injectors
Yesterday, while accelerating from the highway paytoll at full speed I noticed a massive drop in power. It was as if the engine was running out of gas. Or, my injectors weren't firing. In the morning, i removed the spark plugs. Three were drenched in gazoline, the 4th one was dry. When I start the engine without sparks i put tissue on the top of each of the injector holes and the 3 that were drenched in gazoline pop out, but the 4th stay shut. I checked the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55, 30/55 and 48/55. i get zero ohm. I'm assuming that the issue is in another location.
I also tried to reset PID but without success. The car will start when the G28 is unplugged, and it runs fine with the G28 connected. However, the intermittent misfire problem continues to occur at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62), even when unplugged, still shows temperatures of -49c. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bar but the actual pressure is 0.
I'm not certain what to do, but i think i've pretty much completely ruled out all other possibilities. I'm concerned that i may have missed something. Please let me know should you have any suggestions! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump in the g28 is activated by a signal sent by the RPM sensor. The GM-style transmitter functions similarly to the G4 sender and both work on the 80,100,200, UrS, and RS2 vehicles.
